So what does this mean to you?
For those of you who have already let me know they are interested in attending, I will send an email to you with a link to the meeeting. Click on the link and you will be taken directly to the meeting.
For those who have not been in contact about joining in, you can join the meeting by
1. At the time of the meeting, open your browser and go to http://www.Dimdim.com
2. Click the Join Meeting button
3. Enter the meeting room name as- Jack_Neuraxiom
4. Enter the Display Name as any name you want to show for yourself
5. You will be taken directly to the meeting room.
I will try to insert a button in this notice to join the meeting. Clicking on this button will take you to the meeting room. You just enter a Display Name for yourself and you will be taken to the meeting room.
In this trial version of the service, up to 20 people can attend.
The only video webcam available is from the host (me) and I probably won't use it. This will save bandwidth and improve audio.
All attendees can listen in and watch the Whiteboard (if one is in use) but only 3 attendees can have their audio inputs (microphones) active a a time.
All attendees can “chat”, using a small typing window to enter messages to the host (me) or everyone.
If you want to use the microphone to comment or ask a question, just send a typed chat message to me (the host).
There is nothing to download. You can enter a username when you join the meeting.
Requirements:
To prevent feedback , you will need either;
a headset with microphone & speaker, or
separate microphone and computer speakers or
computer microphone and audio headset or earbuds
Internet Browsers supported – Microsoft Internet Explorer, Apple Safari, or Opera
Browser must have the Flash Plugin 9.0
Generate an invitation to meeting by entering your email address and pressing the Sign Up button.
